L’association a comme but de promouvoir l’étude, la connaissance et le développement des ultrasons en médecine et en biologie, plus particulièrement de leurs applications diagnostiques en gynécologie-obstétrique. A cette fin, elle organise quatre réunions scientifiques par an. La langue véhiculaire au sein de l’association est le français.
acatech - the National Academy of Science and Engineering in Germany is the voice of the technological sciences in Germany and abroad. With the help of experts from science, industry and civil society, acatech provides effective structures for the science-based discussion of strategic technology issues. acatech represents Germany’s technological sciences at the European academy association Euro-CASE. Through its Member academies, Euro-CASE has access to top expertise (around 6,000 experts) and provides impartial, independent and balanced advice on technological issues with a clear European dimension to European Institutions, national Governments, companies and organisations. Euro-CASE is one of the five partner Academy Networks in the SAPEA. acatech is the coordinator of the project SAPEA.
SAPEA (Science Advice for Policy by European Academies) brings together outstanding expertise in engineering, humanities, medicine, natural and social sciences from over 100 academies, young academies and learned societies across Europe.
SAPEA is part of the European Commission’s Scientific Advice Mechanism. Together with the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors, we provide independent scientific advice to European Commissioners to support their decision-making. We also work to strengthen connections between Europe’s academies and Academy Networks, and to stimulate debate in Europe about the role of evidence in policy-making.

It is also the purpose of the Group to influence European educational policy and to develop best practice through mutual exchange of experience.
The central purpose of the European Accreditation Committee in CNS (EACIC) is to promote and encourage the development of CME in CNS mainly neuropsychiatry and neuropsychopharmacology throughout Europe (both Western and Eastern Europe), to establish policies and high standards for CME, and to ensure that CME plays an important role in the process of helping health care workers to provide improved standards of clinical care to their patients.EACIC is mainly concerned with medical educational activities, which will be attended by health care workers from more than one European country. Or, in the case of enduring materials, read by, or used by, health care workers from more than one European country.

ECORE is a research and teaching institution which federates two centers of excellence: CORE (Center for Operations Research and Econometrics), born in 1966 at Université catholique de Louvain, and ECARES (European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics), born in 1991 at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
The European Academy of Sciences (EURASC)'s objective is to promote scientific research in Europe. It tries to enhance fruitful collaborations between scientists, engineers, and public authorities ; to enhance links between fundamental and applied research, and between researchers and users ; and to stimulate public interest in science. Its present membership of around 500 members comprises most eminent scientists, mainly in Europe but also all over the world. EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe is a unique, non-profit alliance of over 700 rare disease patient organisations from more than 60 countries that work together to improve the lives of the 30 million people living with a rare disease in Europe.
By connecting patients, families and patient groups, as well as by bringing together all stakeholders and mobilising the rare disease community, EURORDIS strengthens the patient voice and shapes research, policies and patient services.
The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) is the main organisation for neuroscience in Europe. FENS was founded in 1998 at the first Forum of European Neuroscience. FENS currently represents 42 European national and mono-disciplinary neuroscience societies, with close to 23.000 member scientists from 32 European countries.
Fetus for Life, non profit organisation created in 2005, depends exclusively on private and institutional sponsorships. Its role is to support, in the department of obstetrics of the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, under the direction of Professeur Corinne Hubinont and her team,the following missions:
- research on the prenatal pathologies of the pregnant women and the fetus,
- funding of the adjustments of new diagnosis and pregnancy monitoring techniques,
- psychological and material aid for the pregnant women faced with complications.
More than 40 voluntaries work for Fetus for Life.
This association brings together scientists from different disciplines and different universities and it organizes events, publishes a newsletter, and provides information on scientific policy.

The Robert Schuman Foundation that was founded in 1991 after the fall of the Berlin Wall has been approved by the State for its services to the public; it works to promote the construction of Europe. The Foundation which is a reference research centre develops studies on the European Union and its policies promoting the content of these in France, Europe and elsewhere in the world. It encourages, contributes to and stimulates European debate thanks to the wealth of its research, publications and the organisation of conferences.

- Het verder ontwikkelen van (gepersonaliseerde) leefstijlprogramma’s gericht op het bevorderen en/of herstellen van gezondheid en welbevinden. Dit kan gericht zijn op de algemene populatie, op specifieke (kwetsbare) groepen of op personen met specifieke aandoeningen.
- Het promoten en uitvoeren van onderzoek naar de werkzaamheid en effecten van leefstijlprogramma’s.
- Promotie van leefstijl als geneesmiddel naar alle betrokken instanties: het brede publiek, zorgverleners, de overheid, instellingen en organisaties.

o personen in goede gezondheid (ter preventie),

The OECI is an organization of cancer institutes, aiming to improve the quality of cancer care and translational research in Europe from an organizational viewpoint. The importance of a smooth organization, efficient logistics and state of the art complex infrastructure is growing.
SEII made it its mission to foster the essential role that engineers play in the sustainable development of a « knowledge society ». With that aim in mind, SEII, as a learned society, will contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and to its interdisciplinary fertilization, both on national and European level, through organizing various events such as lectures, conferences and colloquia, through taking part in similar events organized by other institutions, and through publishing relevant articles and information.SEII will also, within its means and in cooperation with academia, foster continuing engineering education.
TEPSA (Trans European Policy Studies Association)
The Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) is the first transeuropean research network. It consists of leading research institutes in the field of European affairs throughout Europe, with an office in Brussels. TEPSA’s aim is to provide a high quality research on European integration based on a triple “A” approach: Analysis, Assessment and Advice in order to stimulate discussion on policies and political options for Europe. The network was established in 1974 and it has steadily increased its membership ever since to include institutes all throughout Europe in response to the enlargement rounds of the European Union. Nowadays TEPSA consists of 38 member institutes and associate members located in 35 countries, both EU member states and candidate countries. TEPSA and its member institutes provide expertise on EU policies and politics have vast experience in organising and conducting EU wide research, training and networks.
UNICA is a network of 46 universities from 35 capital cities of Europe, with a combined strength of over 150,000 staff and 1,800,000 students. Its role is to promote academic excellence, integration and co-operation between member universities throughout Europe. It provides a forum in which universities can reflect on the demands of strategic change in education, research cooperation, university policy and organization as well as university societal engagement. To achieve its aims UNICA articulates the views of member universities to European institutions and to national, regional and municipal governments. It provides the members with information on European initiatives and programmes, and supports them in co-operative projects.
The main aim of UEJM A.I.s.b.l. is giving post-secondary-education training courses of high professional quality and giving equivalent qualifications in all those fields which are not considered at all, or only partially, by the conventional training system, mainly with reference to new professions.
