De Universitaire Stichting kan subsidies verlenen om het uitgeven te bevorderen van tijdschriften van hoogstaand wetenschappelijk niveau waarvan het wetenschappelijke redactiecomité in België gevestigd is en waarbij Belgische onderzoeksinstellingen betrokken zijn in het wetenschappelijk beheer.
OPGELET: De aanvragen voor het subsidiëren van wetenschappelijke tijdschriften dienen te worden ingediend door middel van een "online" systeem. Dit systeem vereenvoudigt het werk, zowel voor de aanvragers als voor de administratie van de Universitaire Stichting.

De Handelingen (HCTD) / le Bulletin (BTD) is het tijdschrift van de Koninklijke Commissie voor Toponymie en Dialectologie (KCTD) / Commission royale de Toponymie et de Dialectologie (CRTD). Het wetenschappelijke doel van de Commissie is de studie van de onomastiek (toponymie en antroponymie) en de dialectologie, vooral in België en zowel op Germaans als op Romaans gebied. Daartoe geeft ze wetenschappelijke studies in de vorm van monografieën (Werken/Mémoires) en een wetenschappelijk tijdschrift (Handelingen/Bulletin) met bijdragen in de verschillende landstalen uit.
