Concert exclusif avec Xiaolu Zang

Le jeudi 31 mars 2022 nous vous offrons un concert exclusif  avec Xiaolu Zang, demi-finaliste du Concours Reine Elisabeth de Piano 2021. Le concert est organisé par la Fondation Universitaire en collaboration avec le Dr Erik Loosen (Président ‘Vereniging Vlaamse Academici Brussel’ et membre de la Fondation Universitaire) et le Concours Reine Elisabeth. Le concert est suivi d'une réception.

Biographie de Xiaolu Zang

Described as ‘An exceptionally modern, open, accessible musician with a fantastic combination of flawless technique, sense of nuance and brilliant stage presence’ (Ouest-France),‘Mind-blowing’ (La Libre Belgique), 21-years-old Xiaolu Zang emerges as one of the very noticeable pianists of his age and starts captivating audiences both in Europe and Asia.Xiaolu Zang has performed numerous concerts in China, Germany, Japan, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Greece, and was invited to perform in music festivals including Fondazione Arena di Verona, University Foundation Brussels, ‘Hammerklavier’ Concert Series, Cultura Viva, International Summer Academy of Mozarteum Salzburg, Beijing International Music Festival, BNP Paribas Music Festival, ‘Piano à Mayenne’ Music Festival, Festival de Dracenuits, Poros International Piano Festival, Leipzig Mendelssohn Piano Festival. He performed with Niedersächsisches Staatsorchester Hannover, Fondazione Arena di Verona Orchestra, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, ‘Mihail Jora‘ Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau and worked together with orchestral directors Frank Braley, Francesco Ommassini, Valtteri Rauhalammi, Florian Groß and Ovidiu Balan. He has performed in concert venues including Beijing National Centre of Performing Arts, Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Beijing Steinway Hall, Wiener Saal in Salzburg, Concert Hall of Leipzig Mendelssohn University, Teatro dell' Osservatorio Bologna, Theatre Poros, Sala Maffeiana, Brussels Centre for Italian Culture, Teatro Filarmonico Verona, Theatre Municipal Mayenne, Théâtre Scène Conventionnée de Laval. Xiaolu Zang was born in 1999. He started his professional study at Beijing Central Music Conservatory Middle School under Professor Ye Lin and has won first prizes in several major national competitions during his studies. In 2017 he was admitted in Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media with an excellent high grade of his audition, and continued his music studies under Arie Vardi. He has attended masterclasses by world-renowned musicians Andrea Bonatta, John O’Conor, Dang Thai Son, Vladimir Feltsman, Stefano Fiuzzi, Pavel Gililov, Bernd Goetzke, Klaus Hellwig, Alexander Korsantia, Jerome Lowenthal and Boris Petrushansky during his studies. He has performed as a chamber musician with award-winning flautist Yu Yuan. Xiaolu Zang has left strong impressions on worldwide stages of music competitions. He was the winner of Verona International Piano Competition, Mayenne International Piano Competition, a finalist of Busoni International Piano Competition, a Semi-finalist of Leeds International Piano Competition, Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition and Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, a prizewinner of Santa Cecília International Piano Competition, Ettlingen International Piano Competition and Singapore International Piano Competition. Xiaolu Zang is now living in Hanover, Germany. He is going to perform concerts and recitals in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, China and Japan in the season 2021/22. He will be a performing artist for the China Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai in January 2022.
